180307-N-AF263-062 PACIFIC OCEAN (March 7, 2018) An MH-60S Seahawk helicopter assigned to the “Blackjacks” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21 takes off from the flight deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) is completing the Navy’s first full-length ARG Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) exercise. SWATT is led by the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) and is designed to increase warfighting proficiency, lethality, and interoperability of participating units.
