Capt. Rickey Torres, Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade commander, slaps an 82nd Airborne Division patch on the right shoulder of Sgt. Brittany Conger during a ceremony at Camp Ramadi, Iraq, June 30. After being deployed to Iraq for 30 days, Green Falcon paratroopers are authorized to wear the coveted "Double A" combat patch. Conger is an operations non-commissioned officer with HHC, 2BSTB. As one of the few units to have taken part in every major campaign of the U.S. military's operations in Iraq, the 2/82 has been tasked with strengthening the Iraqi security forces as they work to maintain a safe and secure environment for the Iraqi people as the 2/82 leads the transition of U.S. forces out of Iraq.
