180328-N-VG727-157 PHILIPPINE SEA (March 28, 2018) A rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) traverses through the water after being launched from the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) during a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) drill. Dewey, assigned to the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG), is on a scheduled deployment in the Indo-Pacific region to support training under the U.S. Pacific Fleet’s Up-Gunned ESG concept and to serve as a forward multi-mission asset for any type of contingency.
