AUGUSTA BAY, Italy (April 7, 2018) Capt. Todd Vandegrift, delivers remarks to the crew of the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS New York (LPD 21) during a change of command ceremony April 7, 2018. During the ceremony Vandegrift was relieved by Capt. Brent DeVore as commanding officer of New York. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
