Sgt. Leonardo Tocaven, a policeman with the 194th Military Police Company and native of Chicago, keeps his eye on the door while teaching Iraqi commandos about room entry and clearing procedures July 19. This training, conducted at the Iraqi Police Abu Risha Brigade headquarters, teaches the Iraqis how to gain entry into a room, control the level of violence and apprehend suspects. It is a precursor to crime scene exploitation training, which covers how to preserve a crime scene to collect evidence and result in the arrest and conviction of individuals involved.
