Sailors stationed on board the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown receive and unpack pallets to be passed down the work line during a replenishment at sea with the USNS Richard E. Byrd. Germantown took on 64 pallets of parts, food and mail during the RAS. Germantown, commanded by Cmdr. A.D. Hull, is participating in Talisman Sabre 2011, a bilateral command post and field training exercise designed to maintain a high level of interoperability between U.S. and Australian forces.
