Byrd sets down pallets on the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown during a replenishment at sea. Germantown, commanded by Cmdr. A.D. Hull, is participating with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in exercise Talisman Sabre 2011, a bilateral exercise intended to enhance planning and readiness between the U.S. and Australian forces.
