(May 8, 2018) Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI) Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARC) Brenda Reinbold and Kathleen Schofield participate in the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) freeze mob and hold messages representing survivors' voices at NASWI's Navy Exchange to raise awareness of the month-long event and sexual assault. The 2018 SAAPM theme of "Protecting Our People Protects Our Mission" focused on creating the appropriate culture to eliminate sexual assault and a personal commitment from all service members at every level, and NASWI helped raise awareness of this theme and sexual assault prevention by hosting numerous events that encouraged participation from all the commands on base.
