Chief Petty Officer Ryan Oakley, Navy diver, left, the leading chief petty officer of Mobile Diving Salvage Unit 2, and Petty Officer 2nd Class Jason Geissler, Navy diver with Expeditionary Support Unit 2, monitor the gauges during a pressure test on special programs candidates. The chamber simulates the pressure of being underwater and tests the candidate’s ability to clear their ears during a dive. MDSU 2 and ESU 2 are attached to Commander Task Group 56.1, to provide maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
