Petty Officer 1st Class Joel Sharp, Navy diver from Mobile Diving Salvage Unit 2, checks his watch after completing a pressure test on special programs candidates. The chamber simulates the pressure of being underwater and tests the candidate’s ability to clear their ears during a dive. MDSU 2 is attached to Commander Task Group 56.1, to provide maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
