PESCHIERA DEL GARDA, Italy -- U.S. Army Veteran Rick "Ranger Rick" Tscherne sounds the horn officially starting the 2018 Col. Darby 40 Mile Ranger Challenge on April 30th, 2018. Participants must complete a 40 mile route in 12 hours or less, honoring Col. William Darby and 25 other Soldiers from 10th Mountain Division who were among the last Americans to be killed in action in the European theater of WWII.
