TORBOLE, Italy -- U.S. Army Paratrooper Spc. Benjamin Goldstein, an infantryman assigned to 2nd Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry Regiment "The Rock", 173rd Airborne Brigade, touches the memorial at the finish line of the Col. Darby 40 Mile Ranger Challenge. Participants must complete a 40 mile route in 12 hours or less, honoring Col. William Darby and 25 other Soldiers from 10th Mountain Division who were among the last Americans to be killed in action in the European theater of WWII.
