    1249th Engineer Battalion

    Capt. Po Tsui of the 18th Engineer Brigade, Task Force Sword, runs to the finish line of a 7.11 mile leg on the second day of the Hood to Coast Satellite Run held on Forward Operating Base Sharana in Paktika province, Afghanistan, Aug. 27. Participating runners in the 3-day relay race included National Guard soldiers from Oregon and Nebraska, as well as engineers from the 18th Engineer Brigade and civilian contractors. The race spans a course of 197 miles, divided into legs of varying distances and runners, and has been a deployed Oregon Army National Guard tradition to run in conjunction with the original Hood to Coast relay held in Oregon.
