The family of Cpl. Stephen E. Austin pose with his Navy Cross in Alexandria, Va. July 21 at the 50th anniversary reunion of the 1st Battalion 27th Marine Regiment. Austin's sacrificed his own life by exposing himself to enemy fire in order to destroy an enemy machine gun bunker that had pinned down his platoon in during Operation Allen Brook in Vietnam.
