POTI, Georgia (Aug. 18, 2018) Chief Mate Roshenda Josephs, a civil service mariner assigned to the Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Carson City (T-EPF 7), provides a safety brief to U.S. Army Soldiers assigned Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division Aug. 18, 2018. Carson City is the seventh of nine expeditionary fast transport ships in Military Sealift Command's inventory with a primary mission of providing rapid transport of military equipment and personnel in theater via its 20,000 square foot reconfigurable mission bay area and seating for 312 passengers.
