FORT KNOX, Ky. – Chief Warrant Officer 3 Josh Lewis, Blackhawk pilot, left and 1st Lt. Matt Whitacre, Blackhawk medical pilot, both of 244th Aviation Brigade make ready the HH-60M Hospital Blackhawk cockpit before an air medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) training for the 1st Theater Sustainment Command Soldiers, July 12. The flight crew taught how to evaluate a casualty and perform tactical care, request MEDEVAC support and aircraft safety as well as tactical aerial flight operations.
