U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Chris Bodoh, a native of Auburn, N.Y., assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 172nd Support Battalion, Task Force Blackhawk, as the brigade food service advisor, helps Sgt. 1st Class James Nichols, a native of St. Louis, assigned to Battery C, 1st Battalion, TF Blackhawk, lift a pot of chicken out of an improvised barbeque pit Oct. 10 at Combat Outpost Waza Khwa. Nichols uses skills as a non-commissioned officer and an experienced food service specialist to safely prepare hot meals for his customers, using whatever means available. Frequent power outages force Nichols and his team to be creative when completing meals.
