NORFOLK (Sept. 16, 2018) Sailors aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) shift colors after mooring to the pier at Naval Station Norfolk. Abraham Lincoln returns to Naval Station Norfolk after Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command ordered all U.S. Navy ships in the Hampton Roads area to sortie on Sept. 10, ahead of Hurricane Florence, a storm that brought high winds and rain to the Mid-Atlantic coast. Abraham Lincoln joins the nearly 30 ships and 128 aircraft that are returning to the Hampton Roads area after the sortie.
