SAN ANTONIO – (Sept. 14, 2018) After six weeks of training, Chief Navy Counselor Sambath Ham of Boston assigned to Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio, was promoted to the rank of chief petty officer during a pinning ceremony held on the campus of the University of the Incarnate Word. Ham, a 2001 graduate of Lynn English High School in Lynn, Mass., was pinned by his children. At the ceremony’s conclusion, active duty, retired, and former chief petty officers “Manned the Rails” and saluted Ham as he passed through the side boys and was welcomed into the NRD Chief’s Mess.
