U.S. Air Force Joint Terminal Attack Controller, Senior Airman Cristobal Galindo, 807th Expeditionary Air Support Squadron, and native of San Bernardino, Calif., prepares the radios in a Mine-resistant Ambush Protected All Terrain Vehicle before a mission, Oct. 12, 2011. JTACs embed with and provide Army ground maneuver units expertise in planning and controlling combat air resources. On this mission, Galindo will provide ground commanders with direct communications to intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and combat close air support aircraft.
