The hospice was built by the state of Ohio in the 1920s to commemorate the achievements of the 37th Division during World War I. A group of current Soldiers from the 37th traveled to France and Belgium Aug. 3-9 as part of the U.S. Army’s World War I Centennial Commemoration.
