Near this location, 2nd Lt. Albert Baesel of Company B, 148th Infantry, 37th Division, earned the Medal of Honor Sept. 27, 1918. Soldiers from the 37th traveled to France and Belgium Aug. 3-9 as part of the U.S. Army’s World War I Centennial Commemoration.
