SAN DIEGO-- Rev. Timothy Rietkerk and Lt. Benjamin Box present Rev. Michelle Kirby a parting gift during a graduation ceremony for resident Department of Defense and Veteran's Administration chaplains who had completed the year-long Clinical Pastoral Education Residency Program at the San Diego VA Medical Center. The program, which is a joint DoD/VA enterprise, incorporates more than 1,600 hours of instruction and supervised clinical practice to help chaplains specialize in clinical pastoral care.
