DAHLGREN, Va. (Sept. 11, 2018) – Senior Chief Fire Controlman Jeremy Brown (ret.) renders the first enlisted salute to U.S. Navy Ensign Dillard Patton who returns the salute at his commissioning ceremony held at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center. In accordance with tradition, Patton - an NSWCDD System Safety Engineering Division civilian engineer - presented a brand new silver dollar to Brown as the first enlisted service member who saluted him. Upon receiving the silver dollar, Brown saluted and Patton returned the salute again.
