U.S. Air Force Gen. The Capstone program provides opportunities for new flag, general officers and senior executive service to learn from subject matter experts through discussions on a variety of defense-related issues. While here, participants received presentations on the nuclear triad and modernization, 21st century deterrence, arms control and verification, regional nuclear dynamics and non-proliferation, and nuclear security. USSTRATCOM has global responsibilities assigned through the Unified Command Plan that include strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, space operations, joint electromagnetic spectrum operations, global strike, missile defense, and analysis and targeting.
