U.S. Navy Capt. Spencer T. Schoen, commanding officer of 1st Medical Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group,signs a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the staff of the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Health in Orange, California, October 3, 2018. In the MOA, UCI Health partners with the sailors of 1st Medical Battalion to bring physicians, surgeons and corpsman to their campus to train with their faculty members. This partnership better prepares our forces by giving them the opportunity to sharpen their medical skills.
