    Sgt. Conner Robbins is from Long Beach, California and was born on July 24, 1993 and always had a passion for the medium of visual storytelling that led him into joining the Marine Corps. He left Long Beach to go to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Sand Diego on May 14, 2012 at the age of 18. Enlisting as a 4600 Combat Media Option as his first choice and receiving it. Sgt. Robbins joined in the pursuit to be a conflict journalist to better understand the lifestyle of the military, before writing about them in a career of journalism. October 2012 Pvt. Robbins received the military occupational specialty of 4671 Combat Videographer and went to the Defense Information School in Maryland to be educated on his new MOS. In June of 2013 PFC. Robbins received orders to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma Station Combat Camera and that is where he strengthened his abilities in storytelling and video production. Within this time he went to numerous follow on schools at DINFOS, received a Navy Achievement Medal, and earned the rank of Sergeant. After his tour ended in December 2016 he received orders to 1st Marine Logistics Group Combat Camera and then soon after transferred to be deployed with the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis-Response Central-Command in June 2017 where he is currently serving as the NCOIC for the newly developed Communication Strategy and Operations shop in the Middle East. Since his indoctrination into the Marine Corps in 2012 he has 107 videos published with 118 photographs on the Defense Video Imagery Distribution System with countless other products unseen by the American public. Sgt. Robbins hopes to take a career in journalism after his time in the Marine Corps mainly revolving around telling the story of the individual service member.
