Army Spc. Juancarlos Paz, an audio/visual equipment operator/maintainer with 55th Signal Company (Combat Camera) greets three members of the Panamanian Special Forces after their arrival aboard the USS Oak Hill, Oct. 17. Because none of Panamanian enlisted personnel spoke English fluently, Paz acting as a translator and guide for them. The goal of their visit is to further strengthen the ties between the United States military and its partner nation, while also learning from them.The USS Oak Hill is participating in Southern Partnership Station, an annual deployment of U.S. military training teams to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility in the Caribbean and Latin America.
