181029-N-GC129-0077 YOKOSE, Japan (October 29, 2018) Gas Turbine System Technician (Mechanical) 3rd Class Nathan Vines, assigned to Navy Beach Unit (NBU) 7, calibrates a rudder aboard a landing craft air cushion (LCAC) during a demonstration with Nagasaki Prefectural Assembly council members at the Yokose LCAC Facility. Council members were invited to the Yokose facility for an LCAC brief, facility tour, and to observe LCAC operations. NBU 7 serves as the training and readiness command for LCACs, landing craft utilities, and beach party teams forward-deployed in Japan.
