Members of 2nd Platoon, 40th Military Police Company in Los Alamitos, a subordinate to the 49th Military Police Brigade out of Fairfield, don their chemical decontamination suits and prepare to be called into action to secure a notional collapsed building (rubble pile) that was created from a simulated improvised nuclear device detonation during the 2011 Arizona Statewide/Vigilant Guard Exercise held Nov. 3-5. The 49th Military Police Brigade is preparing to assume the role as the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Region IX Homeland Response Force.
