Members of the 40th Military Police Company, who convoyed from their headquarters in Los Alamitos, Calif., to Buckeye, Ariz., to take part in the 2011 Arizona Statewide/Vigilant Guard Exercise held Nov. 3-5, guide role playing nuclear blast victims to the decontamination area for assistance and medical care. The exercise involved more than 8,000 participants (players, planners, controllers, evaluators) and hundreds of federal, local, and state agencies. It became a collaboration of California’s National Guard troops along with National Guard forces from Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and Utah.
