First Lt. Jeanne Valdez-Lingan, with the Philippines navy (left), assisted by U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Crystal Ruff, extract a tooth from a patient during a Dental Civic Action Project (DENTCAP), that provided no-cost dental to low income families living in the Isabela region. Hundreds showed up at a local elementary school for dental work and took advantage of other health care services at the site ranging from medical examinations, to pharmaceutical needs sponsored by the Philippines and U.S. governments during the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) exercise series.
