ATLANTIC OCEAN (Nov. 4, 2018) Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class Bradley Smith assists in a straightening maneuver for an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter from the Grandmasters of Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 46 aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94) in support of a Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) exercise. USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) carrier strike group (CSG) cruiser-destroyer (CRUDES) units are conducting the first East Coast CRUDES SWATT. SWATT is led by the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) and is designed to increase warfighting proficiency, lethality and interoperability of participating units.
