ATLANTIC OCEAN (Nov. 12, 2018) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Mason (DDG 87) (center), USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) (right), and the guided-missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55) (left) sail together as an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter from the ‘Grandmasters’ of Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 46 flies over head during a strait transit training event. USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Carrier Strike Group (CSG) cruiser-destroyer (CRUDES) units are completing the first East Coast CRUDES Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) exercise. SWATT is led by the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center and is designed to increase warfighting proficiency, lethality and interoperability of participating units.
