ATLANTIC OCEAN (Nov. 12, 2018) Electronics Technician 2nd Class Chris Slater uses a signal light to simulate gun fire during a strait transit exercise aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94). USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Carrier Strike Group (CSG) cruiser-destroyer (CRUDES) units are completing the first East Coast CRUDES Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) exercise. SWATT is led by the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center and is designed to increase warfighting proficiency, lethality and interoperability of participating units.
