U.S. Marines with Marine Aircraft Group 41 salute Sgt. Millard Odom’s casket after it was escorted to the El Camino Memorial Cemetery at San Diego, Nov. 19. Odom was killed in action on Nov. 20, 1943 during World War II at the Battle of Tarawa along with more than 1,000 other Marines and is now being buried with full honors after his remains were found 76 years later.
