Cmdr. Don Biadog, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar chaplain, pays his respects at Sgt. Millard Odom’s casket during his funeral ceremony at the Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, Nov. 20. Odom was killed in action on Nov. 20, 1943 during World War II at the Battle of Tarawa along with more than 1,000 other Marines and is now being buried, 76 years later, with full honors.
