Two CH-46E Sea Knight helicopters with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 262, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, land aboard the USS Tortuga here Nov. 18. More than 200 Marines from CLR-3, CLR-35, CLR-37, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, and 3rd Medical Battalion, embarked the Tortuga to depart for Thailand to provide flood recovery assistance to the Government of Thailand. Along with the ships organic crew of more than 300 sailors, Tortuga has also been loaded with two CH-46E Sea Knight helicopters and a variety of heavy equipment to assist in flood relief operations.
