Recruits with Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, descends from the slide for life obstacle during a confidence course at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Dec. 4. The confidence course challenges recruits to face their fears and overcome them. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate Feb 1.
