Sgt. Jeffrey Van Camp, a native of Greenville, S.C., and a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crew chief for Company C, Task Force Lobos, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division walks under the non-commissioned officer arch and shakes the hand of Command Sgt. Maj. Glen Vela, a native of Dallas, and the senior enlisted leader for the 1st ACB as part of the non-commissioned officer induction ceremony held by the 1st ACB at the USO here Dec. 10. All the inductees walked under the arch to symbolize their transition from a junior enlisted soldier to a non-commissioned officer. Soldiers and other coalition forces gathered here to watch the ceremony as more than 40 newly promoted sergeants were officially inducted into the corps of non-commissioned officers.
