    U.S. Virgin Islands – Debris Mission Manager Jim Scherzinger, Louisville District, is dwarfed by vegetative debris left from hurricanes Irma and Maria on St. Croix, Nov. 28, 2017. On the island of St. Croix, debris pick up and transportation to the debris management site at Body Slob is being coordinated by the territory’s Department of Public Works, while the final disposal of non-vegetative debris is being handled by the Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority. The territory estimates there is as much as 850,000 cubic yards of hurricane debris on St. Thomas, with at least 450,000 cubic yards of vegetative debris.
