Complete with mock explosions and reality-based missions, Operation Bushmaster is a two-week field exercise that puts students from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences to the test. The exercise takes place annually in October at Fort Indiantown Gap, an Army National Guard training center north of Harrisburg, PA. It's designed to enhance the student operation experience, immersing them in a simulated combat environment. It's also the final exam for the university's fourth-year medical students. Pictured here, students run through a mass casualty drill as part of the exercise.
