As Operational Fleet Medical Liaison Services (OFMLS) department head, Cmdr. Kerry Hudson provided critical leadership to 13 OFMLS staff, ensuring oversight of more than 50 medevacs, 160 Sailors in medical transition company and 90 patients staying in the Wounded Warrior Patriots’ Inn. She provided critical clinical and academic mentorship to 23 obstetrics and gynecology residents, ensuring their readiness for future fleet assignment while focusing on teaching and patient safety. She exhibited a tremendous work ethic, maintaining rigorous clinical and surgical schedules while executing her duties as the OFMLS department head and improving access to care for operational assets. In addition to her fleet liaison and clinical duties, Hudson responded to 26 calls for the Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Team.
