Staff Sgt. Hector Alanis, assistant training chief, Headquarters Company, Headquarters Company and Service Battalion, helps carry Christmas trees to service members' cars during Trees for Troops hosted by Marine Corps Community Services aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Dec. 8. Every year, The Spirit of Christmas takes donations to provide active duty members Christmas trees, said Christine Deboer, marketing manager, MCCS. FedEx delivers the trees to the military bases for free. This year, on MCRD 200 trees were given away on a first-come, first-serve basis.
