190117-M-QR315-0062 PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 17, 2019) Australian Brigadier S. L. Gabriel, Distinguished Service Cross (DSC), the Military Attaché with the Australian Embassy, Washington, D.C. speaks with U.S. Marine Col. Fridrik Fridriksson, the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), commanding officer during a ship tour on the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4). The purpose of the tour was to familiarize Brigadier S. L. Gabriel (DSC) with the capabilities of the 11th MEU and Amphibious Ready Group FIVE (CPR-5), and specifically the role the 11th MEU Australian exchange program officers play therein. The Marines and Sailors of the 11th MEU are conducting routine operations as a part of USS Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) in the eastern Pacific Ocean. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
