An Omani squad leader checks the status of his Soldiers during an assault exercise in Rabkoot, Oman, Jan. 30, 2019. The U.S. Army and the Royal Army of Oman are conducting side-by-side training during exercise Inferno Creek 19. In the training area at Rabkoot, Oman, the Royal Army of Oman partnered with the Royal Air Force of Oman to conduct an air assault. The bilateral exercise is designed to strengthen relations between the armies. It is an opportunity for both militaries to build tactical proficiency and gain shared understanding of each other’s forces and support long-term regional stability.
