Commander of Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 198th Armored Regiment, 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team, tracks the mock battle with his counterparts as Omani and American Soldiers participate in an assault, Jan. 30, 2019. The U.S. Army and the Royal Army of Oman are conducting side-by-side training during exercise Inferno Creek 19. In the training area at Rabkoot, Oman, the Royal Army of Oman partnered with the Royal Air Force of Oman to conduct an air assault. Inferno Creek is designed to strengthen relations between the armies. It is an opportunity for both militaries to build tactical proficiency and gain shared understanding of each other’s forces and support long-term regional stability.
