190302-N-WI365-1101 PHILIPPINE SEA (Mar. 02, 2019) – Quartermaster 3rd Class Alex Gray, from Houston, Texas, raises a signal flag from the bridge of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) prior to a replenishment-at-sea (RAS). Ashland, part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
