190302-N-WI365-1128 PHILIPPINE SEA (Mar. 02, 2019) – Sailors observe from the port side bridge wing of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) as the ship prepares to come alongside the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO 197) and the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) prior to a replenishment-at-sea (RAS). Ashland and Green Bay, part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, are operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
