190307-N-RU084-1002 OXNARD, CALIF. (Mar. 07, 2019) – Builder Constructionman Michael Piehl, from Moreno Valley, California assigned to Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 303, uses a reciprocating saw to remove a rusty hand rail during a bridge reconstruction project on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. The new bridge will connect the I Marine Expeditionary Force and Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5 camps giving them the ability to conduct military base construction and maintenance in a joint environment in support of Pacific Blitz 2019 (PB19). Working hand-in-hand, the Navy expeditionary force and Marine Logistics Group capabilities complement each other in the building of advanced naval bases. PB19 provides realistic, relevant training necessary for an effective global U.S Navy and Marine Corps. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Aaron Bewkes)
